Hudson Marriott is 13 years old and his steer Maverick won Reserve Grand Champion Market Steer. Hudson has been in 4H for 5 years. Maverick came from Wisconsin and weighed in at 1311 pounds. Hudson also won Grand Champion Intermediate Showmanship and won his weight class. He wants to tell all his fellow competitors to ‘Never give up. Work hard and work every day with your animals.’ He also wants to thank his Mom Amy and his Dad Matt for all of their support and hard work to help him get to this point. He raised and sold his steer in memory of Uncle Randy Marriott, who was a pillar in our community and a huge supporter of the Junior Livestock Program.
